The Council are now intending to press ahead with the controversial sea wall project. This will see a flood gate erected at the launch ramp of the club and a large wall along our foreshore.
Below is the link to the Echo website for comments on this matter. Please have a good look and make some comments on this wall and how you feel it will affect the foreshore and your enjoyment of it.
http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/10719691.Seawall_set_for_go_ahead_despite_opposition/
if it gets to the top of the most read it maybe picked up by the national press forcing a proper and open debate.

Our TBYC RS Feva Team Racing squad, performed well at the Midland’s British Schools Championships at the Oxford Sailing Club on Saturday. It was our first Team Racing event and the opposition of 12 teams were experienced and strong. However, all three of our teams won their first race with much excitement and expectation. They were keen to put into practice the tactics learnt during the recent Cadet nights and protests were being issued and penalties taken frequently as the teams battled during the next seven races. They all performed well and we are certainly proud of them, but when it was announced that one of our teams had qualified for the finals, the pressure was really on. They won their first race, performing an impressive Mark Stop at the finish line and eventually achieved a most creditable fourth place. May I thank the parents for taking the youngsters to Oxford and of course, congratulations to all the squad.
