We have sourced a couple of Sprint 15’s that can be used by anybody that is happy sailing one and would like to race in the Sprint 15 Nationals. We have confirmed that with our main Insurers that this is OK as long as we supply the sailors names that will be sailing them. There is the cost of entering and joining the association, however if your entry goes in now there is a £15 reduction and as it will also be your first Sprint Nationals another £20 discount to cover Association membership.

Today is the last chance to see England play in the World Cup because they are coming home. However they are playing Costa Rica and Roy maybe playing some of the new guys coming up into the squad. If you would like to watch this and discuss Englands failures, well the club will be open just after 16:00 tonight for the 17:00 KO until the end of the match.

Hopefully they are nearly final, so well done to

• Simon Boygle and Sophie as crew for being 1st in the Multihull Dinghies.
• All the Multihulls for getting most of the top 10 places (there was a lack of multihulls from other clubs).
• In Monohulls Rupert Snow,Sandhopper got 3rd Place, followed closely by George Mellon, Albacore and Howard Warrington, Sandhopper

This Thursday we hope to see a change in pace from England in the World Cup. The game will be on in the club.

Why not come down and let Scott cook your evening meal and then you can sit down in the Bar for the entertainment.

A wonderful evening was had by all last night, and thanks must go firstly to Scott and his team for a really delicious meal and seamless, military precision service.  Thanks to Lorraine for assisting Scott in the role of ‘Maitre D’ for the evening.

Lorraine and her bar staff worked so hard all night and never allowed a single queue to develop at the bar.  Again, fantastic service that was much appreciated – thank you!

I think everyone will agree that the entertainment was one of the best we’ve ever had at the Club and we will definitely be booking them to come back at some future date.

If you missed out on one of the best evenings in a long time at the Club, keep your eyes peeled over the next few months for details about our upcoming events, including the Adult Christmas Party, and how to buy your tickets.  We also have plenty of themed Friday night dining evenings to tempt you with, and of course over the summer we can use our lovely new balcony for some of these evenings.
