2015 Duty Allocation

2015 race duties are published in Dutyman today.

DutyMan is in its 4th year of use at TBYC and provides an up to date, on-line database of all duties and the racing programme. Duties are not being published in the Handbook this year

Dutyman is emailing the 230 duty-holders with their allocated duties and dates. The majority are allocated  3 or 4 duties per year but some volunteer to do many more.

Each email contains an individual password log-in link to Dutyman. (if you haven’t done so already, please save that link in your Favourites or Bookmarks for future instant access).

Please log-in to Dutyman immediately on receipt of your duty list and ‘confirm’ your duties under the ‘confirm your duties’ tab. A blue tick will appear against your duties.

Confirming your duties at that time will let the duty managers know that:

  • You are able to access DutyMan;
  • DutyMan has your correct email address; and
  • You are aware of your 2015 duties.

You can still swap your duties later even though you have confirmed them.

There are a few duty-holders without email addresses in DutyMan. These members will receive their duty listing separately with their Handbook.

Friday night dining

Next Friday night dining is this week, 20th February, 7-9pm

There will be a fresh a la carte menu available, with full table service. I’ve got some lovely steaks coming in which I will serve with macaroni cheese, and a smoked haddock and mussel chowder, amongst other tempting treats.

Club Racing Information and Club Duty Guidance

We have introduced these two new items on the Side Navigation bar of this website. This has consolidated information that was already available in that area. We have however added more information relating and required for Racing, and expanded information for anybody completing a Duty.

Sailing Instructions and Race Mark layout for this years new season will be updated in the next few months.

The Club Calendar on the sidebar has also been updated for 2015. Full Programmes will be sent out soon.

We don’t want to see all the articles in Newsbuoy from just General and Sailing Committee members as we know there are loads of members doing some very interesting things. We will be producing an edition for Spring and would value your input. The magazine is valued and enjoyed by many, why not be a part of it.

TBYC Racing Calendar 2015-2016 (Available at the Bar)

Racing Calendar 2015

Don’t miss the start of the Racing Calendar which covers 12 months from Apr15-Mar16. The Calendar is available for purchase at the club bar with an excellent price in line with last year.

The 2015 price remains at £8

We have ordered a similar amount to last year, however if we run out please pay (leaving your name) and we will submit a further order before the calendar starts. All the racing dates in a popular format, with familiar scenes and saving you loads of time writing the programme up somewhere else.

I understand the usual Club Programmes will be with you soon.

Butternut squash and potato soup with sage croutons
Mushroom and goat’s cheese tart

Honey glazed baked smoked ham and redcurrant jelly

Roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and horseradish

Roasts are served with sea salted roast potatoes, a selection of winter vegetables, and cauliflower cheese

Deep fried scampi with chips, peas and Tartare sauce

Handmade pizza with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, olive oil and rocket

Brioche bread and butter pudding

Valentines Dinner – Friday 13th Feb 2015 – Book before Wednesday

Don’t miss out on enjoying each others company and a fantastic meal on the not so secret night of the year. Of course you will have another chance the day after to go to the Theatre or if you are lucky a weekend in Paris or Rome.

Get your table booked before next Wednesday which is important and required. Once booked Steve will deliver you a meal with locally sourced ingredients.

Attached you will find full details of the delicious menu Steve has put together for a fantastic £19.50, together with how to book your table and a ticket order form.  Valentines 2015 details in full post or look at the continue reading section below.

Pay in advance in the usual ways. Tickets won’t be issued but a list of names and tables will be supplied to Steve for the night.  If you would like me to confirm receipt, please include an e-mail address or phone number on your form. Valentines Ticket-order-form.

Please note that menu choices are required in advance to secure your favourites.

If you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies not covered by this menu, please do let me know so that an alternative can be arranged for you.
