On Saturday registration is between 10:00 and 12:00, briefing 11:00 and first race starts 13:00.

Some may have noticed that there is an early start for Sail Training and Racing this Saturday. So Dave and his team will be in from 08:00 to take orders and serve Breakfasts, Breakfast Sandwiches and Baguettes.
Knowing that you maybe busy in Training Rooms or preparing boats, if you can come and order when you arrive then Daves team will be happy to deliver freshly cooked Sandwiches and Baquettes to Training Rooms and the Dinghy Park when it is ready. What could be easier!

The Petal Plate trophy race is a mass start, general handicap race – all boats sail the same course and distance.

Start time is at 10:00 hours, Sunday 17th July 2016

The course will be set on the day – see the blackboard at the side of the Bosun’s hut – but will be a petal shape.

We have decided to have another impromptu Oppie Beach Club tomorrow afternoon, Saturday 9th July. Meet in the boat park about 1.30pm if you’d like to join us!

Hunter Cup and Rebellious Bowl Trophy Races.
These instructions are supplementary to the TBYC 2016 Sailing Instructions.
Hunter Cup
Mass start at 15.30 – code flag R
Rebellious Bowl
Cadets only (helm & crew) sailing any boat
Mass start at 15.33 – code flag K
( Cadets – TBYC cadet members under 18 at the date of the race)
Both races are average lap, mass start, general handicap races.
Both races are planned to start from the Committee Boat.
Courses may be different for each of the 2 trophy races .
Course(s) described on the blackboard at the side of the Bosuns’ hut and may refer to mark numbers displayed on the front and/or back of the Committee Boat.

| Very well maintained and in excellent clean condition. Hardly used in last two years. Ready to sail and race. New ropes and bungee 2015 / 2016. 1 set of Training sails (Main and Jib). Plus 1 set of Race Sails (Main and Jib). All sails rolled in sail bags and stored at home. |
1 new race jib still in original packing. Spare dagger board and spare boom. Comes complete with cover and launching trolley. Cover new in 2014. Under rack storage in TBYC dinghy park. Storage and sailing fee pre paid to end of season. |

Just when you have attended the Racing Rules night, World Sailing has now published the next version of the rule book which we will be using next year and into 2020.
The book is available at http://www.sailing.org/tools/documents/WorldSailingRRS20172020-[20946].pdf and by looking within at the right margin, a vertical line indicates a change, addition or deletion.
The majority of them are simple technical changes to sort out small problems found in the application of the rules. However there is a introduction of the term ‘support person’, those people that are with competitors (coach, parents, etc) who through their behaviours can now cause a competitor to have a penalty. There is also a further additional section around Gross Misconduct.
I am sure in the the next 6 months many of us will interpret all the changes in various ways.
