ALL SAILING MEMBERS!
Dear Members
We have had over 100 entries for the Winter Sailing and Storage. We are passed the deadline to secure a slot but will of course take entries. However, these will now be on a discretionary basis and a space will not be guaranteed.
ALL OTHER DINGHIES must vacate the dinghy park by the 10th October – just over 2 weeks from now. If no entry for storage is in place before then, it will be assumed that you will be taking your boat home on or before this date.
There are many boats in the dinghy park that have not been touched for years. If owners don’t come forward and they are unidentifiable (which the club rules require) they may be disposed of. Please don’t be that owner who does nothing and leaves it to others to move!
Thank you for your help with this.
Regards
Howard

Can you help? Cadet Halloween Party
Volunteers needed…. Cadet Halloween party 30th October…
Unfortunately I can’t commit to organise and host this popular event for our younger members. Is anyone able to take this on?
You would need to decorate the main bar and then take down and pack up at the end (we have some decorations)
Arrange sweets/snacks for trick and treat buckets
Welcome the disco
Be around throughout the party
I will arrange disco and ticket sales
If no one volunteers by Sunday the event will be cancelled. Please contact me for further information.
Thanks in anticipation

HMS Leigh (the pier) will be celebrated over a 4 day event this coming weekend. We hope to have club racing on Sunday in the vicinity of the pier to support the event and it’s heritage in WW2 (weather and support boat permitting). Please find more information including RNLI open day https://www.hmsleigh.org.uk/

Well done to the helms and crews of the 19 Cadet boats who raced at Thames Estuary Yacht Club on Saturday. In light winds making sailing difficult, our 25 Cadets achieved success both personally and overall.
Congratulations goes to Hannah and Lydia for becoming Matt Dear Champions again in their RS200.
The first 10 position out of the 36 starters were:
1st Hannah and Lydia – RS200
3rd Isabella – Laser Standard

5th Arran and Toby – RS Feva
7th Francis – RS Tera Pro
8th Jessica – Open Bic
