Eric Paxman
It is with great sadness that my Father Eric Paxman (Rick senior) passed away peacefully at home on Sunday. He fought a long 7 year battle with Alzheimer’s and is now at peace. He was 93 years old. The funeral is on 18th March at 3pm Southend Crematorium and hopefully the Yacht Club afterwards for the wake. (now confirmed)

In Loving Memory of Barbara Hervé
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Barbara Hervé last night. Barbara was a stalwart member of our club since 1972 and played an integral role in the TBYC community.
Barbara will be forever remembered for her generosity, kindness, and good humor, and her unwavering support of all club activities. She was particularly fond of helping in the Bosun’s Hut during Cadet Week, where her warmth and vivacity made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Her contribution to the spirit and camaraderie of our club will never be forgotten, and she leaves behind a legacy of friendship and laughter that will continue to inspire us all.
We send our heartfelt sympathies to Barbara’s children, family, and friends during this difficult time. Her memory will live on in the many moments we shared with her, and she will always hold a special place in our hearts.
In respect of Barbara, the club will be flying the club burgee at half-mast today.
