Sailing Practice for Cadet Week

Cadet week starts on monday so there is no better time than this evening or saturday / sunday to get some pre week practice and extra time on the water for the kids so they enjoy the week even more. Also getting the boats out to make sure everything is there and working.

Weather is looking great, don’t miss out.

We have Club Racing tonight so the guard boats are on station and will cover the beach area as well. Club is open for both bar and kitchen.
Thursday Evening is of course Cadet night with a Racing Tips Presentation by Dave Hall/Steve Hopper.

So pack your kit bag and get down to the club tonight Saturday or Sunday for Sailing so you can make the most of the great family Cadet Week.

Another Great Family Event is the Carribean Party this Saturday, with food from 6-8 and a Steel Band to get you in the Holiday Spirit.

See You on The Beach / Water tonight or at the weekend

    Vicky Little certainly enjoys her sailing! She sailed in every race of the Eits Evening Series. And won it. Well done, Vicky!

    Let’s not forget Vicky did not sail on her own, congratulations are also due to Rosin Brown who turned up in all weathers to sit in a very wet place – the front of a Pico. As per the earlier post about the Nore race 2010 I can confirm that Rosin was also responsible for tactics, navigation, wind forecasting / weather routing, sandwiches, beers and shoreside public relations etc etc.

    At long last a rebirth of the crews union.
    I will be holding a ballot at the weekend with a recommendation for strike action, if our demands are not met.
    Obviously I have not thought of any demands at this stage, but be aware all helms your sailing could be disrupted during this busy summer period.

    Comrade Paul, you make an interesting point. I feel sorry for the servants who sail in Sandhoppers. I detect there is an insurrection afoot. Your first demand should be more crew ale. Will there be a ballot? Fortunately, we don’t have this problem in the Sprints because everyone is an equal citizen.

    Andrew don’t ever feel sorry for us sandhopper sailors, as you know we are the chosen ones who get preferential treatment at TBYC, we dont have a union we have a collective understanding that the class captain is always right.
    you can’t miss us we are the largest fleet on the water as we will be this weekend, if you are in the bar sunday i will get you to present the sandhopper sunday trophy.

    You need need a motto to promote your Orwellian utopia – may I suggest “Two hulls good, one hull bad”. The revolution starts at 12 noon sharp (or about 12:05 for the Sprints – obviously).
