On Saturday registration is between 10:00 and 12:00, briefing 11:00 and first race starts 13:00.
There will be catering throughout the weekend, before going out it will be possible to have a breakfast between 09:30 and 11:30 on the first day. Our evening meal is scheduled for 19:00 just enough time to get changed after Sailing. On Sunday breakfasts will be available from 10 until 11:30. Sandwiches will be left at the bar for after sailing. If anybody wants hot food when coming back in from sailing it will be just Scampi or Chicken Goujons or Cold Ham all with chips. This MUST be preordered and paid for before mid day on Sunday. If No orders then no hot food available
When travelling to Thorpe Bay Yacht Club we warn everybody not to follow their GPS as it will take you on a tour. The quickest way is to enter Southend on the A127 and just go straight over each and every roundabout and traffic lights until you reach the sea. Turn left and TBYC boat park is 500 yds on the left. Ignore all the signs as the A127 at one point does turn into A1159, just remain straight. It is all Dual Carriageway, except a small section at the start of the A1159 around a few corners. Be warned there are average speed cameras from Basildon until the “Welcome to Southend on Sea” sign and then there are several normal speed cameras from there onwards with 40 mph speed limits.
