Many many thanks indeed to all those who made our annual New Year’s Day Brunch possible, in particular Martin Swindon who stepped forward to lead the troops and cook for us and Paul Morgan who organised the whole event and collected all the supplies personally. Janet Willsmer and Margaret Kennedy, our fantastic admin team, were on duty all morning. General Committee members and their partners were there performing a range of roles from food prep to washing up to serving. Thanks also to Paul’s children who, as always, were amazingly helpful and worked like trojans all morning.
The bar was also incredibly busy but nobody was kept waiting thanks to the efficient and friendly service provided by our bar staff.
Another wonderful, successful, event made possible by members pulling together from all sections of the Club!

We are pleased to announce even without a caterer there will be a New Years Day Brunch – enjoy a “recovery” brunch cooked and served by club and committee members!
Between 11.00am and 1.00pm on 1st January, Martin Swindon and members of the General Committee (and family) will be in the kitchen for one day only (in fact two hours only!) serving full English breakfasts and other brunch options including Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon (no pre-orders required) at only £7.50 per person (Children £4.00).
Tickets available now from the club bar – this is always very popular and restricted to 120 people, so please buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment (no later than 30th December 2014).
The bar will be open and will also be serving Bucks Fizz, Bloody Mary’s and all your other favourites.

Finished the packing, planned the cooking. Why not come down, have a break and spend some time at the club on Christmas Eve.
The Bar will be open with some nibbles and mince pies. What a good time to get together and have a chat with friends.

Although the 2014 main season is over, it is this time of year when your Class Captains and the Sailing Committee start to work hard behind the scenes putting next years programme together. The Dinghy AGM is your chance to help by telling us what aspects of the 2014 programme you enjoyed this year and sharing any good ideas you think we could incorporate into next years Sailing Programme.
Have you got some ideas, do you want to help? Then we have a vacancy on the Sailing Committee for Sailing Secretary, let me know if you are interested.
This years Dinghy AGM will be held on Wednesday 12th November 2014 at 20:00 in the Commodores Bar.
We hope to see you there.
Jeremy Sandford and the 2014 Sailing Committee.
