Why bother cooking at the end of a tiring week when you can come down to the Club, kick back and relax in a friendly environment whilst someone else does the hard work!
This Friday, Howard will be offering the following delicious selection from 5.30pm to 7.30pm:
Cadets £4.00:
Beef lasagne
Mini burger, fish fingers or chicken nuggets, with chips, jacket or mash, beans or peas
Adults £7.50:
Chicken curry with basmati rice and naan bread
Burger, chips and salad
Goats cheese tart on a red onion & maple marmalade
Mushroom risotto
As usual, booking is helpful to the chef if you know you are definitely coming, however please equally feel free to just turn up.
If you know you will be slightly later than 7.30pm, perhaps due to getting back from work, please do get in touch with Howard so that he can try to accommodate you.
Any specific dietary requirements (e.g. no dairy, gluten free, etc), again please get in touch with Howard so that he can accommodate your needs.
Look forward to seeing you there tomorrow night!

A massive Thank you to all members who have enjoyed the bar and catering service over the weekend.
Friday nights will now be a permanent fixture going forward with weekend sailing menus and opening times to accommodate most people.
Please note: For the next two weeks, Saturday and Sunday lunch will be available only to those that book 48 hours in advance as the club undertakes a refurbishment as space will be limited.
Once again, thank you and please bear with us over the next few weeks.
Kind Regards
Howard Fruin

Bangers and mash with peas or baked beans
Lightly spiced stuffed pepper with rice and a tomato based sauce

In order to help Howard gauge how many to allow for initially, until we get into a bit more of a flow, if you are definitely coming on Friday please could you ring and let the bar know.
Food will be served from 5.30pm til 7.30pm, which will be tweaked going forward depending on demand. However, Howard has said that if, for instance, you are travelling home from work in London and don’t expect to be at the club til 7.30pm or just after, please do let him know as he will happily wait for you and save you some food.

Brunch cooked by members of the General Committee, under the guidance and support of Martin Swindon & Mick Kilkelly, on New Year’s Day.
Mindful waistbands aren’t the only thing tight at this time of year we have reduced ticket prices from last year.
Tickets £7.50 per person (Children £4.50) on sale now behind the bar or from the Office.
We have five sittings for brunch:
11:00 – 11:30am
11:30 – 12:00pm
12:00 – 12:30pm
12:30 – 1:00pm
1:00 – 1:30pm
You’ll need to select your sitting when you buy your tickets. You are welcome to arrive at any time and we would encourage you to stay around afterwards but we will need you to vacate your table at the end of the sitting you have booked – this is so we can accommodate as many people who want to enjoy Brunch – this is a very popular event and a great way to start the New Year.
The brunch is a ticket-only event (the bar is open to all) and places are limited, please buy your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
The bar will be open serving Bucks Fizz, Bloody Mary and all your other favourites.

Hi, just wanted to give everyone a quick update on progress. The kitchen is now clean!
Food stuffs and produce are being ordered and delivered from Wednesday which will allow me to start cooking preparations for a limited lunchtime menu on Thursday. There is still a lot of work ahead over the next few days and weeks, but I’m very encouraged by the progress made so far, support from the committee and the very kind messages I have received from fellow members.
More updates will follow

I am delighted to welcome Howard Fruin, a long time member of the club, to the role of Kitchen Manager. Howard joins us from the kitchen at Billy Hundred’s along the seafront and is employed directly by the club. Howard starts work today cleaning and organising the kitchen. The kitchen will remain closed until at least Thursday lunchtime – more details to follow, watch this space.
Working with Howard, we have big plans as to how we can transform the kitchen and the catering experience delivered by the club but please remember Rome wasn’t built in a day.
