A big thank you to Nick, Chris, Rod, Julian and Howard for their help in organising and moving boats around the Dinghy Park last Saturday.
As a result there are a few boats that were moved to their allocated positions for this year. I have indicated that your boat was moved in the right hand column of the spreadsheet, whist every effort was made to secure boats as we found them, please check it is appropriately secured over the next few days.
Can all Lasers and Picos please tell their class captains if they are in a different position and I will then amend the plan appropriately.
If you have any questions, please contact me directly.
Enjoy the long Easter weekend at the Club!

Dear Sailing Members,
TBYC Dinghy Park Allocation 2022 – Members only.xlsx
Please use the link above to access this year’s Dinghy Park Allocation. It can be accessed using the password emailed to members, or by contacting the Dinghy Park Officer, Secretary or Bar Manager.
Spaces should have been allocated to all those who have paid for storage this season. The first tab is the list of spaces, boats, and members, the second tab is the visual plan showing the location in the dinghy park. If your sail number is not listed, please email it to the Dinghy Park Officer.
From April, all boats in the Dinghy Park are required to display this years Dinghy Park sticker on the transom. These are provided by the club secretary and available behind the bar.
Each row has spaces wide enough to suit the allocated dinghy or catamaran, however, should it not be suitable, please contact the Dinghy Park Officer.
To minimise movement the larger boats that have sailed the Winter Series have been allocated the same spaces for the summer season. Lasers and Picos have been assigned suitable sizes spaces in no particular order. If those classes wish to swap amongst themselves, please liaise with the class captain then advise me of the swaps or revised order.
Free spaces on the plan may be swapped to, however only if the dinghy is an appropriate size. For example, a Pico will not be assigned a Sprint space. Please contact the Dinghy Park officer if you wish to swap.
Thank you for keeping your space tidy and free from litter and weeds.
Enjoy your boats and happy sailing in 2022.
Jeremy Sandford
TBYC Dinghy Park Officer

Good news, our Web Cams are returning with improved quality.
We have fitted new improved Cameras and are just adding the devices to let you enjoy them. Over the next few weeks this is being tested and we will be adding more.
Unfortunately during the testing unusual things can happen. We will get this sorted, but I wanted to assure you we are aware of it and working on it!
Happy sailing
Scott

This year the programme has been supplied electronically and therefore this will help integrate with your calendars.
For those people that already use this but it hasn’t automatically updated this year, this is because Hals have changed the URL format. This is fixed by deleting the old calendar link and add the new one from below.
As DutyMan has just been populated for the year (Race and Tide details), I thought this would be a good reminder. You can automatically include the DutyMan/Racing dates in your diary (Outlook, Gmail, Smartphones, etc).
The following link downloads a file in a format that is recognised by most packages (.ICS). To put into Outlook you can use the Import Option once the file is saved, and within Gmail Google Calendar you can just add the URL directly as anothers calendar.

When any changes are made they reflected in this link, so if you are using a dynamic calendar like Gmail it should automatically update.
If you are more adventurous all this information is available in the Smartphone tab once logged into DutyMan, including links specifically for your duties. Remember however the file format isn’t just restricted to Smartphones.
Never miss a race !

We have now concluded the Adult Sailing Support Sessions for the Winter as we now have changed seasons and will be out on the water. All of the sessions were recorded and the packs are now available to download. We will be continuing our support of Beginner Adults, but will be taking a break for a couple of weeks to gather our thoughts and plans.
Please note: these sessions are not formal training. They are sharing of experiences from the Sandhopper Fleet as well as many other sailors from the Club, we are not qualified coaches. For formal training we suggest that you approach the RYA or other qualified coaches.
Below you will see the details of what subjects were covered in Q1 2022, these were recorded on Zoom (now on You tube) and the slide packs have been made available with the original links to reference material and videos used. The sound quality varies, but the packs and links in the slides should help.
