Hi All,

thanks to everyone who waited around for us to sort out the final results and graciously accepted their prizes.
For anyone else who won a prize but didn’t attend the prizegiving (see results page to find who you are) then your prizes are behind the bar.

A big thanks to all the race officers and support crew and Tony Padbury for doing the results as well as all the sailors who braved the wintery elements to make the series so successful, let’s have the same again if not better next year!

Easter is in couple of weeks time and I am looking of a crew for the Easter weekend. My normal crew (Sue) is on holiday then so if any body would like to crew in the front end of a National 12 please give me a call on 01702 205297 . Are any of the cadets who crewed in the National 12 championship last year interested? You will need to be very agile and light. Steve Le Grys

Many thanks to Ken Herve for a very interesting evening on race preparation and tactics.  We hope to have Ken do another presentation on this wide ranging subject some time in the future.

Two presentations lined up: Chris Boshier on the new SI’s for club racing followed by Ken Herve on racing tips and tactics. Should be a great evening packed with useful information to get you round the course quicker than your mates! Food available from 18:00 (book with Jo on 07500 878249 asap), presentations start at 20:00. Its set to be a busy night, so get there early.

Many thanks to Charlie from Hydes for a fantastic talk on sails and speed, over 70 members enjoyed a very informative fun evening, we are now looking forward to getting on the water to try out some of those tips.

Don’t miss this wednesdays talk on getting the maximum from your sails and increase your boat speed by charlie devenport from Hyde sails, starts at 8pm, be there early to secure your seat.

After the popularity of last years race prep night we are planning another one for March 11th 2010.

A great chance to learn all you need to know about race tactics, rules etc

The kitchen will be open from 6pm.
