I am please to announce we have a new member of staff in the kitchen

Published by under Bar,Catering,Social

I am delighted to welcome Howard Fruin, a long time member of the club, to the role of Kitchen Manager. Howard joins us from the kitchen at Billy Hundred’s along the seafront and is employed directly by the club. Howard starts work today cleaning and organising the kitchen. The kitchen will remain closed until at least Thursday lunchtime – more details to follow, watch this space.

Working with Howard, we have big plans as to how we can transform the kitchen and the catering experience delivered by the club but please remember Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Cadet Halloween Party – 29th October

Published by under Cadets,Social

Hi all! It’s that time of year again when I dust off my broomstick and create some magical Halloween fun for the cadets!

This year we will be celebrating on Sunday 29th October, 4-6pm. Tickets will be on sale from tomorrow evening, 19th October, from behind the bar priced at a bargain £3.50 each! Your ticket includes the usual crazy disco and games fun with DJ Groovy Tunes, plus some naughty sweets and crisps to nibble on.

I hope to see some fantastically inventive outfits on the day as there will be a prize for the best costume! Meet you at broomstick parking on the roof…… 😉

Now the boring small print…… this event is open to MEMBERS ONLY. Please do not cause embarrassment by asking for tickets on behalf of non-members – cadet names will be required for all tickets sold.

It is not possible to reserve tickets – payment is required up front.

Dinghy Night – Talk Sailing and Drink Beer – This Thursday

Published by under Bar,Racing,Social

We don’t often get a chance for all sailors to get together and have a chat about sailing with like minded people, so this Thursday evening will be that first opportunity.

Meet some of the people you often just sail past, watch and chat about sailing, chat to others how you could improve yourself, talk about the plans for the year or just help us have more evenings like this.

See you in the club Main Bar, Thursday evening.
