Slipway Nears Completion 24th June
I was clearing out the Bosun’s Hut this morning with Mike Thomason.
At ten o’clock we broke off to watch the last concrete plank be lifted off the beach and fixed in position at the foot of the slipway.
It was an honour for me to be there with Mike to witness it, for it is an accumulation of five years work for him.
All members current and future owe him a debt of gratitude for the way he has led the project which is a lasting legacy to the club.
From all the membership. Thank you Mike.

Mike is there everyday ensuring the work gets completed on time, thanks mike for all your effort also thanks to Toby and Domonic Speller for all their hard work and time that they have donated to this project, the slip certainly looks built to out last most of us.
Thank you Barry for your response , I cetainly agree that Dominic and Toby were the other key members of the project team and did so much. I would not wish to take anything away from them.
I would like to add my Thanks to Mike Toby and Dominic for a great project well executed. The key to the sucess was the tireless work that Mike did with Sport England to enable us to get such a huge contribuiton towards the project in a time of deep recession.
Well done.
Nick
May I add my thanks to the whole slipway team. A very professional job in all senses.

It’s a tremendous achievement. Well done Mike, Dominic and everyone who helped.
A fantastic result, well done Dominic, Toby and Mike. A well managed project from start to finish.
It’s great to see the new slipway finished. I’d like to take the oppurtunity to thank to all the people, including the above, who work so hard at TBYC enabling the rest of us (ok, me) just to turn up and go sailing. Cheers!
