Big Al, UK Finn Masters Champion

Alan Burrell has done it again at a very breezy Pwllheli last Friday to Sunday. Al loves a bit of wind, I should know, I shared 3 nights in the back of the Transit with him ( pong! ) 18 -20 knots seemed to do the trick on friday and the jelly baby lookalike was leading after 2 races. Saturday was canned after gusts of 38knots roared in from the Irish Sea. After a 4th in the first race on Sunday, Alan slipped to 2nd overall in 10 knots of breeze and had it all to do in the final two races. With the breeze building all the time, Al pulled it out of the bag with a couple of bullets to beat John Greenwood in big seas and 18knots. Alan has had a great year so far and is off to show his feminine side by trying to win the Phantom Nationals at Lyme Regis this weekend. Well done mate.

    Well done again Alan, we definately will need a bigger honours board at the end of the year. Good luck at the `girly` nationals this weekend.

    Nicely done Alan, Mark forgot to post that he came a creditable 9th in an extreamly competitive fleet. Well gone gents.
