Thank you Chris Boshier.

On behalf of the Sprint 15 fleet, may I thank Chris Boshier for standing-in for an absent Race Officer today. Without his selfless dedication, we wouldn’t have had a race today, as the scheduled Race Officer (or his substitute) failed to show up.

    As the Assistant Race Office I would like to add my thanks to Chris. I was intending to learn the ropes so that I could do RO in the future until Chris volunteered it looked like those racing were going to have an interesting time if I had been on my own. Hopefully I will be a bit more useful next time!!

    A big thank you to Chris on this occasion & to Tony Clarke on the previous Sunday for stepping into the Race Officer role & ensuring that racing could run so members sailing enjoyment wasn’t spoilt.

    If members don’t show for duties or arrange swap coverage then ultimately we all suffer with cancelled activities or some kind soul has to give up what they had planned and step in at late notice.

    Please remember that the members of the Committees are all volunteers only trying to do the best for our club & are not here to arrange your diaries!
