Congratulations to Kevin Iles & Jane Wade.

I would like to congratulate Kevin and Jane on their 3rd place in the Bloody Mary last Saturday.  This is arguably THE premier winter open event and attracts some of the best sailors in the UK.

    The boat that was second was a prototype “without a PY number” – I reckon Kevin should claim second place!

    Good to see that Kevin is getting the TBYC name about in the N12 fleet especially as TBYC is hosting the prestigious Burton Week for the Twelve’s in May this year.

    Thanks guys, nice to know that it wasn’t just us that were impressed with ourselves.

    I have to say that is has to have been the coldest race I have ever done. Although the visability wasn’t too bad, we sailed in fog which, with the temperature at minus 3, froze to everything. By the time we finished, there were quite literally icicles hanging off the gunwales and every time we pulled a control line through a cleat, the frost sprayed off it. However, the worst bit was the floor because after half an hour or so the non-slip was covered in ice and it is a long way from one side of a National 12 to the other!
