PRIZE GIVING

Due to unforseen circumstances we have had to change the date of the End of season prizegiving, the new date is 8pm Saturday November the 1st, Please see club web site and notice boards next week  for a list of of prize winners.

Dont forget it could be you.

    I do regard the prize giving as quite important within the whole scheme of the Yacht Club. I do know others are not so bothered.

    I do think it is importamt that at least prize winners attend this event and perhaps more should be made of this occasion as it is the climax for sailing achievement throughout the year.

    Unfortunately as you have changed the date at the eleventh hour We will not be able to attend as we will be representing the club at the Weston Sailing Club Catamaran Regatta.

    Is there a trophy for the most Capsizes? If not , just to lighten up the prize giving, i’ll source one for next year. Well done everybody who has been placed and hope you all make the effort to attend.
    I’m in Scotland watching the rain go bye but my crew will be propping up the bar, just incase.

    I think it is a great honour that Weston SC organises its open meetings around the date of the Thorpe Bay prizegiving.
