RNLI Pursuit Race
Don’t forget the RNLI Pursuit Race this Sunday, first start 4.00 pm.
For the uninitiated, the start seqence begins with the slowest boat and gradually works through in decreasing PY order so that the fastest boats start last. The race will be run for 2 hours and the first over the line wins. It’s a great spectacle watching the faster boats working their way through the fleet and trying to work out whether they can overtake the early starters. It’s also a great way of raising money for the Lifeboat as the entry fees go the the RNLI.

Does this mean the dart 15’s start on Saturday
yep spratty the darts will need at least 24 hours head start
I felt SO sorry for the Sandhopper fleet on Sunday – would an early start have helped you guys?
thanks Howard for your concern,It was nice to see so many of you sprints staying with us!
why is it that the cats start 9 minutes after their official start time? is it sandhopper envy?
Ah well Barry, some of my brethren are trialling the Le Mans type start – something you Sandhoppers might not be able to do!
I say Howard. Isn’t it a good job our races have a time limit. Otherwise we would need to call Burroughs to lift the Sandhoppers off the mud!
Andrew is the reason the cats start with the sandhoppers the fact they they have no idea which way to go?

I’m pleased the Sandhoppers see themselves as trailblazers and pathfinders – they’ll need to be on Sunday, because the course might be a tiny bit complicated and it’ll be a little while before anybody else joins in.
Mind you, Andrew and I were only saying the other day that when we get too old for Cats and need a more leisurely style of sailing, there’s always the Sandhopper fleet!
Howard glad to see that you will come over to the dark side, will you bring your sprint zimmer frame with you?
I think you will find the speed increase a shock so if you would like to team up with Andrew and try a race in a sandhopper i will arrange one for you,
have you two got the minerals to accept the challange?
Howard. What time do the Oppies start?
If it’s a conventional Oppie sailor, 15.24 looks about right. On the other hand, if any of our heroes above fancy their chances, about now might be appropriate!
howard lets see how many sandhoppers beat sprints on sunday, however the real challange would be in the same boat, so how about you and Andrew against Peter Thompson and me, first in sandhoppers and then in sprints? could do it over a couple of weekends, i will make sure you have a choice of sandhopper, so come on put your money up!!!
Not a bad idea…could we turn this into a slipway funding exercise?
I’m not sure that I’m up to racing an Olympic Sandhopper. Maybe in 2012, Barry will get Burger King to sponsor him.
Meanwhile Isobel and Athina could be in Britain’s Angling team. And if Mr Spratt loses any more weight, he could represent GB in one of Mike’s Oppies.
Howard, don’t be sucked in by this! What ever boat Peter jumps into he wins: however if your talking Barry and Spratty…..now that would be a laugh, as they abuse each other hammer and tongs when they make their schoolboy errors!
ok ok so i tried to drag a superstar into my team, fat sprat and I will take you on howard and Andrew, find us a couple of sprints to borrow and we will borrow you a sandhopper, why not bet in pints? as for maloney he has a foot in both camps, all be it mainly at the back,
Andrew you say burger king as sponser, does nightol sponsor the sprint fleet?
drag lift and weight…
Overall, Muscle Milk is just a fantastic tasting protein supplement. If you look at the fat content of Muscle Milk, it’s quite high -…
