Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012 Game

The challenge is on for the insomniacs amongst us because the addictive online Round the World, Volvo Ocean race game starts on 5th November at 14:00 CET.

The race  lasts for nearly 9 months and mimicks the real event.

In 2009 there were several boats entered from TBYC and the rivalry set in.

You can run a boat as a share and split the load if you wish.

    i think you are right jeremy – i can only find one to monitor the race rather than steer your boat. perhaps that will change when the race starts. just 1 hour 15 mins to go before you can get tuning for tomorrow. see you on the start line!

    I’ve bought the D-One to race through the winter and for those times when Janes isn’t free to crew Tripod. It’s been a difficult year domestically but we’ll be back on all cylinders for 2012!

    i think the website is playing up barry. you are supposed to be able to start pointing your boat in the right direction from 24 hours before – but it isn’t playing ball at the moment

    robin goes to show how long since you sailed at TBYC but we use 3.2.1.0,

    havnt see the new D one, is it the same as hoppers Donut ring?

    As far as I’m aware TBYC don’t run the Volvo Ocean Race.

    OK chaps, we are Bluebeard1. My man is keeping me up to scratch as usual. Chris and I may be away for a couple of weeks while we polish the keel, but don’t worry, it worked on the sandhopper!

    hi steve, tried searching for you yesterday, but think i got the space between name and numbers wrong. Just found you! if you click on me then look at my friend list you will find most of the others and can link to them that way.
    Gordon and Ken usually stay up late and sneek ahead at night! Steve is pretty good working his way up the field, watch him!
    off to bed – wendy will be glad not to see the laptop glow at 2am tonight!
