Contender Worlds In Brisbane – Update
On Behalf of John Boshier :-
AFTER THE LAST RACE (THE 10TH) CHRIS FINISHED 20TH OUT OF 60. THE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION WAS TOUGH AND THAT WAS A VERY GOOD RESULT.
IN A FEW RACES HE DID MUCH BETTER THAN THE 20TH POSITION ON COMPLETION BUT GENERALLY HE WAS FAIRLY CONSISTENT AT THIS LEVEL. A VERY SATISFYING OUTCOME.
THE UK CONTINGENT STUFFED THEIR 11 BOATS BACK INTO THE SHIPPING CONTAINER YESTERDAY AND HIS FLIGHT OUT IS ON THURSDAY – ARRIVING BACK IN THE UK EARLY FRIDAY.
SOMEHOW THE “ECHO” GOT WIND OF IT AND GAVE CHRIS A GOOD REPORT IN THE WEDNESDAY ISSUE – EXCEPT THAT THEY CALLED HIM THE SECRETARY INSTEAD OF SAILING SECRETARY .

Well done me old mate…….I know how tough that fleet is. I tried it. I got the echo article if you want it; it also features Mark Asquith who did well in the 49er Worlds. See you over the weekend.
P.s. you been wearing that dress again secretary???
Well done Chris, I bet you had a great time in the sun. A fantastic result.
Nice one Chris, After all the problems of getting the boat there in one piece, that was a great result and a fantastic holiday as well, I wonder if my Misses would notice if I did a similar thing, Arrr, I can hear the locks getting changed now.
Thanks Struan,
well anytime you want to abandon the stabilisers and try a contender you’re more than welcome, you know that, and that goes for anyone else, please feel free to come and try a contender, just ask me.
